  1. Kia ora Room 6,
Thanks for sharing your book character day photos. Womens Refuge is a great cause to fundraise for. I can see some great costumes - onesies have certainly made dress up days easier! How did you fundraise? Did you pay to come in costume?

    1. Hi Tania.
To answer your question, the children brought a gold coin ($1/$2) to the fundraiser, some brought cans of nonperishable food which was also great. Secondly no, the children didn't have to pay to be able to dress up, some children have forgotten to dress up.
There were also judges who also awarded the children...
      - Best Home-made
      - Most recognisable
      - Best walkway
      - And Best Group/Twin
The awards were kindly donated to us by stores around Hornby.

    1. Thanks Manbeer for that wonderful comment and yes, there are some videos at the end of the slideshow:
To be able to view them, enter full screen on the slideshow and head to to the end and you'll be able to select the video and it should play! The videos are each class walking down the walkway in their fabulous costumes!

  5. Hey room 6, I am a year 7 from Rimu class.
I really liked your post about your book character day and from the looks of it, it looks like you all had fun. This reminded me when we had book character day and I dressed as a unicorn with some of my other friends. Maybe next time you cold add some text because I didn't really get what was going on but otherwise your photos were really cool. Did you guys have a theme that you dressed up as or could you wear whatever you wanted to?

Looking forward to your next blog post,
    Parwin
